Israel As a Nation

Israel May 14th, 1948
The Lord gave the land of Israel to His people after He had miraculously delivered them from the land of Egypt. He wanted a special people to serve Him. He wanted them to enjoy the land that He had blessed, a land that was fruitful because He had given it to them to serve Him.
The children of Israel turned away from the Lord to serve other gods. Gods who had not delivered them from the Egyptians-gods who had not opened the Red Sea for them. God therefore allowed the children of Israel to be taken into captivity by the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Medes, the Persians, the Greeks, and other foreign armies. He did this hoping they would turn from their evil ways but sadly most of the children of Israel continued in their sins. The children of Israel were thrown out their homeland for hundreds of years. After years of hardships and severe persecution from anti-semitic groups, the Lord gave the Jewish people back their homeland. In 1948 the land of Israel became the homeland of the Jewish people once again.
The Lord delivered His people throughout ages. The following title is a DVD series that recounts different miracles that occurred in the blessed land of Israel: Against All Odds: Israel Survives. It can be found on Amazon. These miraculous stories told in this set should inspire and increase ones faith.

When We Love God Part 2

How many of you have heard of the truly miraculous story of Nate and Marj Saint, Jim and Elizabeth Elliot, Ed and Marilou McCully, Roger and Barbara Youderian, and Pete and Olive Fleming.

This story is a true example of people that totally loved God. They were so sincere about God and knew that He is real that they had to tell the natives of Ecuador about Him.
The Ecuadorian natives were ravaaged by hate. They never knew peace.
These missionaries had to tell them about Christ even if death came upon them.
Death did come to the missionaries when they went to give life and peace to the souls that were tortured by sin.
It took the death of the five missionary men to save the natives.
The natives conscious bothered them for the cruel act and acts they had done their whole lives.
But Christ created  a miracle and the widows of the men that died saw the vision which they had hoped.
The natives accepted Christ!
They stopped murdering their friends and families!
When we love God...He gives us the desires of our heart!

The book by Elisabeth Elloit gives extremely more insight into how miraculously these natives were saved.

When We Love God Part 1

How many times must we as people see the anger of the Lord poured out unto us?
Why must we have an excuse for trampling Christ's blood?
Christ died for the sins of the whole world and when those of us who have received Him into our hearts do not testify of Him and are ashamed of Him it angers Him. Many of us claim I love the Lord, but do we really?
Many people think because Christ died for them and because they have invited Him into their hearts, they can do whatever they want for the rest of their lives.
Christ is a jealous God!
He is angry with the wicked everyday!
He hates the workers of iniquities!
He does not like it when people who claim to be of Him, who say they love Him, do not the works that He commands.
People have come to think of our Christ Jesus as some Greek mythological god that if you beg Him enough He will come and help you.
Christ created hell for the wicked.
Yes, He even created it for all those who want to sin yet say they follow Christ.
He says ALL sinners will have their part in the lake of fire.
People who say I went to church at one point in my life will not be going to heaven. Christ does not want people who went to church.
He wants people who accept Him into their hearts, souls, bodies, and mind.
He wants those who committed their lives to Him.
He wants those who would and will lay their lives down for Him.
Is your life on the alter for Him?
He died for you!!!
Can we not give our Creator at least our life to serve Him?
He has already served us.

He has blessed us with healing, salvation, strength, power, faith, love, heaven...
What more do we want...?
He was only human!
But He did this for us.
Do you love Jesus?

Spring

Spring is a wonderful time when we can reflect on the many blessings and miracles Christ has given us.

When we awake in the morning, we awake to the sound of birds singing, chirping, and maybe even chimes chiming.

The earth is awaking to new life for the new year.
As we walk outside, we smell the air that is full of life. We see the beauty of the many different colored flowers that bloom and give off their comforting perfume.

The dew is cascading the vibrant green grass as the sun shines through the trees and whispers hope into the world.

The world is at peace...even for just a moment.
It can give us an assurance of hope that we need for this day.
The day that we need it, and tomorrow, we can awake and once again be enveloped in the beautiful glory of His majesty.

For All Eternity

For all of eternity the Bible says we will be thanking God for all of the miracles He has done for us in our lives. We will be thanking Him for all of the miracles he has done in our friends or our families lives.
Christ has done so much for us we can not even begin to say thank you to Him.
Can that be fathomed?
Can you or I imagine thanking someone for ever!?
WOW!!!

The Answers Christ Gives Us

I am sure all of us have asked God for something and have received an answer that did not seem to answer the question we had asked.
Christ sometimes answers our requests in a way that would not have seemed convenient for us, yet in the way He answers us...we could never imagine the request answered any other way.
God has this ability to astonish us almost beyond belief when He decides to give us what we never knew we wanted.
He is an awesome power that continues to amaze us when He answers us.
He did not only give His Son for us-no! that was not enough-though that would have been enough, He guides us through each day and answers each question we ask.
How He answers us is astonishing!
Jesus is a wonderful Savior!
I hope you know that even though our prayers might not be answered the way we might want them answered, they are answered in the way that will strengthen or renew our lives for more fulfillment in Him. We always know that Jesus always has a perfect plan for us that wait on Him and trust Him to guide us with our lives. He hears every single prayer that His saints pray to Him. He is not slack concerning His promises as some men count slackness.*
I hope you all have a wonderful day/night.

Jannes and Jambres

Jannes and Jambres were two of Pharaoh's magicians in the land of Egypt.
When Moses first went to Pharaoh to demand that he let the children of Israel go, the Lord gave Moses signs to show Pharaoh and the children of Israel so that they would know that he (Moses) was sent by God to deliver the children of Israel. One of the signs that the Lord gave him was that the if he (Moses) threw his rod on the ground it would become a serpent. When Moses gave this sign to Pharaoh, Pharaoh told his magicians to do the same with their rods. The magicians threw their rods on the ground, and their rods became serpents as well. Moses' serpent (rod) ate the magicians serpents (rod). Of course all of the people in the court were astonished at what they saw.
This was only the beginning of miracles that the Lord would show to the Egyptians and the to world.

The Blessings and Miracles in Isaiah 61

  The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
   To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

Jesus, our Christ and Savior, has done this for us.
He has anointed us who are saved with good tidings.
He has mended broken hearts.
He has set those who were in bondage to their sins or to their or those who were in literal bondage free.
Those who have had to go to prison for wicked things they have done have accepted Christ as their Savior.
The Lord brought vengeance upon the Satan when He died and rose again. Those who come to Him to receive comfort He comforts.
He reunited Israel as a nation in 1948.
He gave them beauty for the land that was laid desolate-that was desert.
He gave us His Holy Spirit for when when we need comfort
He gave us the Psalms and praise for when we feel overwhelmed.
So that we might be called His. So that people would know we are of Him and that His name may be praised.

Hallelujah!!

Shoes and Clothing Could Last for 40 Years

The children of Israel's shoes and clothes lasted for FORTY YEARS! Sorry to yell, but this seems amazing! Could you believe it if we had a pair of shoes or a piece of clothing that lasted for forty years? and we would have to wear that piece of clothing a lot, almost every day. Our clothes would probably go out style, but still the idea of our clothes or shoes lasting that long is...well, awesome
In the Bible, the Lord reminded the children of Israel, through a prophet, how he had helped them through so many situations. One of the things He reminded them of was how He had kept them in the wilderness. How He had given them angels food, water, and how for forty years he had kept them so that neither their shoes nor their clothing wore out.

This van be found in
*Deuteronomy 8:4
Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

*Deuteronomy 29:5
And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.

*Nehemiah 9:21
Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

The People God Uses Part 2

Does anybody remember the story of Jael in the Bible?
She was the woman that the Lord used to deliver the children of Israel out of the hand of their enemies.
Barak the captain of the host for Israel was told by the prophetess Deborah that the Lord was going to fight their (Israel's) enemies and to go fight against their enemies. Barak told Deborah that he wanted her by his side when he went to fight the battle. Deborah basically said to him because you do not believe that the Lord is going to be with you and because you are a wimp the Lord is not going to deliver the children of Israel into your hands but into the hands of a woman. God is going to show you that he can use anybody to do His will. A woman is going to kill the Lord's and Israel's enemy.
So, Israel went to fight their enemy, (Sisera who was the captain of the host for Jabin the king of Caanan.) and their enemy was greatly discomfited. Sisera fled on his feet from the battle field. As Sisera was running, he came upon the tent of Heber the Kenite's wife, Jael.  Jael invited Sisera into her tent and told him to rest while she got him a cup of milk. She gave him a cup of milk with which he was refreshed, and he went to sleep. While he was sleeping, Jael got a nail of the tent and through Sisera's temples hammered him into the ground!
When Israel had defeated its enemy, they sang a song of Jael, who had listened to God. They did not sing a son of Sisera.
Ironically, Jael's husband was friends with the king of Caanan.
When the Lord sees people who do not want to do what he tells them to do, he gets another person to do it; and the Lord has them do a better job than maybe what he had in mind for you to do.
This was an awesome example that the Lord can use anybody! and the miracle will probably be even greater than originally!
Let's not miss out on being part of the miracle.
When the Lord tells us to do something let's do it- even when it gets hard.

The People God Uses Part 1

I am sure at one point in all of our lives we felt God tell us we had to do something, but the people around us, our family and friends, said we should not do it because they did not feel it was right; or we were just trying to get something for ourselves.
Here is a story that most of you probably know where God used the person people did think much about, the person people ridiculed to do the job nobody wanted to do.
I am sure felt when he went out to the battle field to give his brothers food.
David's father sent him to the battle field to give his brothers food and to see how the battle was going. When David arrived, Goliath, the giant and champion Gath, proclaimed his challenge to Israel as he had done for forty days. When David saw Goliath defy the army of Israel and defy God, he knew he had to vindicate God's name and the army of Israel. David told the people around him that he was going to fight Goliath, but when his brother heard it, he basically told David to get lost. The people relayed what David said to King Saul. Even King Saul and the rest of the people could not believe what David was saying and that he could really do it. David told the king how he had killed a lion and a bear because God had helped him and that the Philistine would be just like a lion or bear. David thought-how could some one who blasphemes God's name live? Saul relented and gave David his armor to fight Goliath. David could not use the armor because he was not used to it; instead, he picked up some smooth stones from a nearby brook and went to fight Goliath.
When he went up to fight Goliath, Goliath mocked and cursed David by his (Goliath) gods. David told Goliath that he and everyone standing there would see that God is God, and it was He who was going to fight the battle.  David put a stone in his sling and thew it. The stone sank into Goliath's head. David went and cut off Goliath's head with Goliath's own sword.
When the Philistines saw that Goliath, their champion, was dead they fled, and Israel pursued them. The Lord saved Israel yet again that day from the hand of the Philistines.
The Bible says that David was a youth meaning that he was younger than thirteen years old. (According to Jewish tradition, a boy becomes a man when he turns thirteen.)
This fact makes this story even more miraculous.
When the Lord sees able people not do the job He wants them to, He decides to give the job to another person who they believe is incapable.

This story is found in 1 Samuel 17.

Michmash, God's Repeated Deliverance

Do you remember the story in the Bible when God allowed Jonathan and his armor bearer to kill about twenty men?and the uproar it caused in the Philistine camp?
We can only imagine what the commanders of the whole garrison thought after they heard the garrison was in an uproar and the earth was shaking because two men killed about twenty men.
The Philistines were so confused by the earthquake and the noise that they began to kill each other with the sword. God allowed Israel to chase the Philistines away from were they were, and Israel was able to defeat the Philistines in this battle.
This same tactic that Jonathan used was used in the same place, Mishmash, in the first World War.
Major Gilbert was reading his Bible and saw that the place were he was was the exact same place were Jonathan was used by God to defeat the Philistines centuries before. When he saw this in his Bible, he woke up his general, General Allenby, and he and General Allenby re-read the passage. The General sent scouts and found out that the land was still the same as in Bible times. General Watson changed his battle plan and used the tactic that Jonathan used centuries before. Just as in Bible times, the people who were on top, the Turks, dispersed.*

"So the Lord saved Israel that day."

This story is found in 1 Samuel chapter 14 and if you google Battle of Mishmash World War 1 you will be able to find many sites with this story.

*P.S. I believe this was necessary for Israel to become a nation so on that day also in World War 1 the Lord saved Israel.

Un-seem Circumstances

When I was about 11 or 12 years old, my family woke up to find the electricity in our house off. My mom went to a neighbors and her electricity was off also. They both called the electricity company asking why the electricity was off when the bills were paid. The electricity company did not know why the electricity was turned off. They were told that they should call an electrician to see why the electricity was off. When the electricians arrived later that day and looked at the electrical box, they said there was a gas leak somewhere in the house and if the electricity had been ON the whole house and the entire block would have exploded.
Isn't it amazing how something that would seem an annoying circumstance could save lives?

Everyday is a blessing...a miracle

Each moment is a special time to live for Christ to be used by God to bless those He has placed around us.
Everyday is a blessing, a miracle to breathe the breath of God.
Everyday is another miraculous day to do more for Christ and not a day to worry about getting old, about the problems we face this day, the problems that arise, or the problems that have come and gone.
A friend who decided to be pessimistic at the moment once said to me when I turned 18, "Even you are getting old!" as though getting old is something bad and of something to be afraid. I thought, all right that was encouragingly weird.
I am receiving blessings from the Lord everyday I get to be here on this earth to do His will. I am living a blessed life. Every moment of my life is fulfilled. No, I am not getting old and neither is anybody else that lives for God to do His will that lives and loves for Him. We are all gaining a new beginning to be young forever.
Everyday is a blessing, a miracle to which I look forward.
Everyday can we live the blessed, miraculous life that God wants us to live?

The Power of Music

Because of Saul's disobedience to God on multiple occasions, God took His spirit and the kingdom away from Saul and gave the kingdom of Israel to David. God let an evil spirit come upon Saul. To soothe his spirit, Saul's adviser's advised Saul to listen to music. They also choose out a gifted musician for Saul, David. Anytime the evil spirit came upon him (Saul) David played the harp before Saul's presence and the evil spirit that had come upon Saul went away. The music would soothe Saul's spirit.
Have you ever heard a song or a piece of music that made you feel....inside?
How God wondrously gave man the ability to create music to heal, comfort, restore,...
The more I write this blog the more that I see what God has created-so many blessings and miracles for His children to live peaceably and in harmony with Him.

I Slept and...Awoke

One day I awoke from a great nights rest and started thinking-wondering why in the world when most people go to sleep we do not die. How do we go to sleep and wake-night and morning?
I mentioned this to my sister. She looked at me with her brow raised and said," Uh...ok...um...interesting. Only you would think of that."
I thought this was a great miracle that God had created. He thought of every great detail for us live.
What do you think?
Have you ever thought why we do not die when we sleep?

Love Re-kindled Part 2

Have you ever known anybody who as a child loved yet as they grew older they could not stand what they saw in the world; therefore, they hated everybody and everything and suddenly one day you see them and they are a changed person?
I have never known any body like this, but I have heard people who were like this tell their story of how Jesus Christ changed their lives.
He told of how he hated people he knew and should have loved, complete strangers, every human being was an enemy to him; but one day somebody-a stranger-saw him and told him about Jesus, of how Jesus came to this earth to die for people like him, for people who wanted to be whole.
His soul was redeemed by Jesus and the miracle of life, love entered his body.
He learned to love!
